The short version: the site sets no tracking cookies, your models stay on your machine, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

Stax IQ operates this website (staxiq.app) and the Stax IQ desktop application. For anything in this policy, contact hello@staxiq.app.

What we collect on this website

staxiq.app is a static website. It has no accounts, no login and sets no tracking cookies of its own. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver and secure the site, as any host does.

Email sign-ups

When you request a free download or join a list, the form runs on our email platform (systeme.io, acting as our processor) and we store the name and email address you give us. We use them to deliver what you asked for and to send related emails about hotel finance and our products. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the emails immediately. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe through our checkout provider. We receive your name, email and what you bought; we never see or store your card details.

Using Stax IQ in your browser

The browser version runs entirely on your own machine. Your deal, every input you type and every figure it calculates stay in your browser and are never sent to us. We hold no copy of your model and could not produce one if asked.

Two things do leave your browser, and only these. When you start a trial, your email address is sent to us so we can issue the licence that unlocks exports; we use it to send you the licence and to contact you about Stax IQ, and for nothing else. When you use the built-in AI, the text of that request is sent to the AI provider to generate the response, along with an anonymous identifier used only to apply daily usage limits. Your projections are not sent with it unless they are part of what you asked.

The app is not indexed by search engines and stores your work in your own browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it removes your saved work from that machine, and we have no copy to restore.

The desktop app

Your projects, models and financial inputs stay on your own machine; the app does not upload them to us. When you use the built-in AI or the Agent, the text of your request is sent to the AI provider to generate the response, and nothing else. The app also makes a small periodic check for updates against a version file.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict our use of it. Email hello@staxiq.app and we will act on the request. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date.
