What Stax IQ is

Stax IQ is an independent provider of hotel financial analysis and education. The core product is a desktop application that builds hotel financial projections to the USALI 12 standard and models the same hotel under five operating structures side by side: management agreement, lease, franchise, white label plus franchise, and hybrid. Around the app sit free guides, calculators and a book series covering how hotel operating agreements actually work and what they cost owners.

Who is behind it

Stax IQ is built by hospitality finance professionals who negotiate hotel operating agreements for a living: the fee stacks, the incentive hurdles, the brand standards and the owner returns that the guides on this site describe. We publish as a company rather than as individuals, and we keep the analysis independent of any brand, operator or industry body.

Why it exists

Most owners see the operator's numbers through the operator's model. Stax IQ exists to give owners, lenders and advisers a neutral engine: one set of inputs, every structure calculated the same way, every figure traceable to the USALI standard. The app runs entirely on your own machine and your models stay yours.
